Massachusetts Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center provides educational materials in multiple language covering Alzheimer's and dementia diagnosis, health questions, explanations of procedures, and more. It also offers links and contact information to help find practitioners, look for places to get a memory evaluation, and for caregivers to find support in their local communities.

Boston University Alzheimer's Disease Research Center works on research on Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. It provides some educational resources and presentations and supports the local Memory Sunday, a faith-based collaboration that we are a part of, made up of leaders at the community, city and state levels. BU is currently studying links between African Americans and Alzheimer’s Disease Research, and has options to sign up for potential inclusion in research studies targeting this community.

The Alzheimer's Disease Center offers diagnosis, caregiver education, support groups, and research opportunities. It also provides in-depth looks at different treatment options, focusing primarily on new medications.

The portal connects Michigan residents to AAAs, respite services, and Medicaid caregiver supports.

Wayne State supports memory research and caregiver education in the Detroit area through community partnerships.

Wayne State also runs the Healthier Black Elders Center as the community engagement core for the Michigan Center for Urban African American Aging Research (MCUAAAR). The programs' goal is to address the health disparities that exist within the Detroit community. Bridging Communities provides case management, housing support, and respite resources serving predominantly Black neighborhoods in Detroit and southeastern Michigan. The organization recommends you call at 313-361-6377 to get connected with available resources.

ALTER Dementia provides a tool to find an associated faith community in your local area. These partners typically offer multiple programs or ministries that raise awareness or provide support related to dementia and Alzheimer's in African American and faith communities.

AIHFS offers culturally grounded health services and referrals for Native elders and caregivers in Michigan. It runs a medical and behavioral health clinic in Lawndale, but says it is available to help American Indian families find services throughout Michigan.

Henry Ford Neuroscience Institute offers information and care for patients with Alzheimer’s disease. Its services include caregiving support groups and connecting caregivers with resources that may be able to address more intensive needs or with assistance paying for Alzheimer's care.

LA SED supports Latino seniors and caregivers in Detroit with bilingual navigation and health programming. Its senior wellness center offers programming specific to transportation and food assistance, social support, and locating state and community resources that boost Alzheimer's disease and dementia care.

CCSEM provides adult day health services, respite referrals, and caregiver support for older adults and families. It recommends calling 855.88.CCSEM for help accessing or locating services.
