2‑1‑1 Iowa maintains a searchable directory of local dementia, respite, transportation, and caregiving resources.

The Meskwaki Nation provides culturally grounded services, congregate meals, and caregiver support for Native elders and families. The organization says citizens can call to get help finding services and support in their area.

Proteus supports Latino and farmworker families in Iowa with health navigation and referrals that include caregiver and elder resources. Services are designed for agricultural workers, but many like the food pantry and health services cover farmworkers and members of their families.

Catholic Charities provides case management and referrals for seniors and caregivers, including dementia‑related supports in central Iowa.

LSI offers respite care gives caregivers time for a much-needed break, while empowering children and adults with disabilities. Services are funded by Medicaid and typically require a Medicaid waiver.

KDADS administers dementia and caregiver programs, ADRCs, and HCBS waivers across Kansas. People with Alzheimer's and their caregivers can get a variety of state supports, and may find the most help with the "Hotlines" and "Agining and Disbaility Resource Center" buttons on the main KDADS page.

Dementia Friendly Iowa works with 10 local efforts to provide training, respite, events, and even business resources for people in Iowa with Alzheimer's or dementia, their caregivers, and employers in their area. Services vary by location and partner organization.

Haskell Indian Health Center connects Native elders and caregivers to culturally responsive services and referrals in northeast Kansas.

El Centro offers bilingual navigation and caregiver referrals for Latino families in Wyandotte and Johnson counties. Its Health Navigation program is offered for free for most families, and is available by phone or at the Kansas City, KS and Olathe offices.

Dementia Friendly Manhattan is one of the more active Dementia Friendly America communities in Kansas, offering resources and support groups. It recommends people outside of Manhattan still reach out for supporting connecting with local or specific resources in Kansas.

The Sanders‑Brown Center on Aging offers Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias outreach, research, memory evaluation, and programs targeting Appalachian and Black families. The Center has ongoing clinical trials in the space and research in very specific areas, like the relationship of traumatic brain injuries and the risk for dementia.

The Trager Institute supports caregivers through education, care coordination, and community programs. It offers both brain health and memory related clinics as well as general health clinics.
